Guest Registration & The Forum
Welcome to the Guest Registration section. Please take a moment to review this section and register so that you may fully experience The Dinner Party Curriculum website. While parts of The Curriculum are immediately accessible, the main body of The Curriculum, "Fourteen Encounters and Classroom Connections", requires prior registration. Registration is also necessary to participate in The Forum, an interactive site. The Fourteen Encounters and The Forum are described briefly below, and more fully in the individual sections.
The Curriculum was written by a stellar curriculum team from the Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. The Encounters section contains suggested learning activities which demonstrate different approaches to The Dinner Party; teachers and students can use these as a basis to understand, explore and be empowered by the work. The Encounters are accompanied by examples of classroom activities by some of the teachers around the country who took part in The Dinner Party Teacher's Institute at Kutztown University. There are 14 different learning activities; these are divided into four groups, each with a particular goal. We will add new examples by teachers using The Curriculum so everyone can see the many applications of it. All of the material in The Encounters section is available in downloadable pdf form once registration is completed. In addition, a Resource packet containing visual material is available for purchase online.
Through the Flower's The Forum is a new feature we are introducing in connection with the launch of The Curriculum. This interactive site will be a place for you to share your experiences, questions and responses to The Curriculum, and it is open to everyone. We hope that you will use this as an additional resource in developing a program of study for The Dinner Party. In addition to postings we will be regularly updating The Forum with relevant news items as well as other communications from Through the Flower. The Forum is accessible without prior registration, but if you wish to actively participate by posting comments or responses, please first complete the registration form below. We look forward to hearing from you.

The information we collect from your registration is kept private. We will use your account information for improving our curriculum, providing our members with information relating to our curriculum and for possible follow up contact. If at any time you no longer wish to be on our email list you will have the ability to opt out.

The Forum moderators reserve the right to edit or delete any comments that are disrespectful, threatening, abusive, racist or gender based, contain foul language or deliberately provocative. The moderators will also remove comments from spammers, solicitations and/or advertising for personal blogs or website, provide unrelated links or are otherwise inappropriate to the topics under discussion.

At this time students who wish to post comments should submit them to their teachers, who will then post the comments after registering or logging in.
